Heart of our Program
Hey, I'm Sami from Regal Kennels!
We are located in Hillsborough county, Central Florida. I'm a Florida native and have been obsessed with dogs since I was a little girl. Spending all my time with them playing, cuddling, walking, and training. I was always researching to learn as much as I could, and that spirit has only grown. The breeds we produce are the ones that I personally grew up with because at the heart of our program is genuine love and appreciation for our dogs.
We have been dog owners long before thinking about making the jump to breeding. All my life I remember these magnificent breeds and their love and companionship being a formative part of my life. Our dogs are all raised as a part of our family, around my children and the rest of our homestead. As puppies I fill their days with socialization and curriculum much like my own kids, they all go home having experienced far more than just mom and the whelping box.
Our journey began as Regal Danes, established by Rebecca James in 2015. My aunt and mentor, she has always had a deep connection with Great Danes. After owning them for several years and falling in love with their affectionate and goofy nature, she had her first litter born in 2005. After that remarkable experience, she dedicated her time to studying the complex Dane genetics, and continued her passion for the breed. I joined her at Regal Danes in 2017 and learned as much as I could through the process of breeding, whelping, and raising well-rounded pups. Due to life events, she has taken a step back from breeding now and has passed the mantle on to me. I am thankful to always have her experience and guidance going forward as we refine our Program as Regal Kennels.
Regal Kennels' objective is to produce the complete package in each dog born. Never compromising the breed's core foundation of quality Health and Temperament, we believe in a fully functional family dog. We strive to place our puppies with only the best families, committed to giving them the time and attention needed to fulfill their potential.
